As a bilingual Linguistic Consultant, I help companies and freelancers to fine-tune their Web Content in order to communicate their message in the most suitable way to the Italian, English and French public.
I am bilingual (Italian-English), I have always spoken English, French, and Spanish, because I have lived throughout my childhood in Libya, Algeria, Switzerland, Australia, Spain, and Ireland. Back in Italy, I went on studying languages and literature in high school and, later, at university, where I graduated first in Foreign Languages and Literatures with majors in Philosophy of Language and Psycholinguistics, and later in Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation at the School for Interpreters and Translators (SSIT in Rome).
I have been writing and translating for more than twenty years for both private and public customers as C.E.M.R. (Council of European Municipalities and Regions) and the Criminal Court of Rome. At the same time, I have worked as Head of Communications for private companies such as Beta Video s.r.l. and Vip2Zip, writing content as a copywriter, for marketing communications and blogs.
I am a Certified Translator and Interpreter at the Criminal Court in Rome
Workshops for Freelancers and Startuppers:
At the Coworking Cowko, in the historical neighborhood Garbatella, I prepare workshops, for freelancers and startuppers, on the most effective techniques to pitch their project in English.
Pitching is the first hurdle that startuppers have to overcome when they decide to propose their project to customers or investors, and it's a sore point because it assumes many different capabilities.
To name a few: know how to write, know how to speak to the public and catch their attention, know how to handle performance anxiety, know how to correctly present the pitch in English and, last but not least, how to answer Q & A (questions and answers).
I teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Italian to Foreigners (DILIT International House). I have been teaching English since 1995: I started at CDC English School in Rome where I taught for three years, I went on as a freelancer giving English classes for groups and individuals, always focusing on the specific needs of the students, such as an interview, a presentation or a business trip.
